Being a self-trained visual artist from Nigeria living in Finland has been quite fascinating. I saw my first snow in March 2018 when my plane landed in Helsinki, Finland. I started my life as an independent artist in 1999 when I retired from the Nigerian Police where I was working as a graphics artist. I was born with a gift of art, and nothing satisfies me like drawing and painting. At the early stage of my career as a visual artist I experimented with different types of art mediums like; water colours, poster colours, crayons, acrylic colours, oil colours, pastel colours, etc... but my favourite was acrylic and it still is. Acrylic colour makes me paint faster than my second favourite, oil colour. I have created many styles of paintings all through the years, and my three favourite styles are BUBBLES, STRIPE LINES and CUBE BOXES. I have done several art exhibitions locally and internationally and many artists in residence programs.
