TÁMARA AALTO
Támara Aalto (Spain, 1983) is a filmmaker based in Helsinki. First she studied Environmental Sciences and afterwards decided to make a change getting into the Art School in Zaragoza studying Illustration. She came to Finland with the plan of staying only for 2 months to find some clues about her unknown Nordic roots and she ended up staying longer to explore her main passion: Cinema. In the last 3 years she has worked writing and directing some short films & short plays and she has done several collaborations with other artists doing camera work, sound recording or editing. She is interested in topics such as identity, roots, minorities, breaking stereotypes and feminism. Cinema is for her a machine of empathy to connect people with.
