Bresley Mansio
Born in Mexico, my artistic journey began in 2002 with private instruction and self-study in Helsinki, Finland. Later, at Heatherley’s School of Fine Art in London, I explored various techniques that enriched my practice. A transformative period in Shanghai, China, deepened my artistic perspective as I collaborated with skilled local artists who shared their traditions and expertise. My fascination with printmaking emerged from the process itself—the transformation of a simple metal plate into an evocative image. I was captivated by the ability to reinvent a single piece through variations in color, texture, or material, all while retaining its core essence. The unique, unrepeatable nature of each print became a source of endless inspiration, highlighting the delicate balance between control and serendipity. My work is shaped by people and emotions, as well as the cultural influences of the places I’ve lived. Through my art, I seek to convey the interplay of individuality and shared experience, crafting pieces that resonate with both personal and universal meaning.
