Shweta Mistry

Shweta Mistry is a multidisciplinary artist currently working with handmade natural inks and pigments from locally sourced botanical and earth sources to incorporate in her art practice. Textile art is a new medium she is experimenting with to make tactile art. She received her master’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan (2018) in Japanese painting and researched the same from 2015-2016. She is currently pursuing her degree in Sustainable Art and Design at University of Lapland, Finland. She has volunteered in art classes for children and senior citizens in community centres, public and private schools in Tokyo. She loves learning and working with small children, exploring the nature and talking about big and small things of the world, trying to include art and culture and open communication as much as possible.
