I’m Elaine Vitikainen, an illustrator and an entrepreneur from Helsinki. While others say they have been drawing since the first time they held a pen (which I think we all did), I can honestly say I learned to draw later in life. Fast forward in 2019, I established myself as an entrepreneur and made visualisation and illustrating as my main work. I’ve conducted creative facilitation that incorporates the practical and effective use of visuals. With my Masters degree in Communication, I’ve supported organisations’ communication processes by placing organisational communication into visual context. I’ve illustrated for the Non-Profit organisations and for the development filed. I’ve also conducted Visualisation workshops to those who desire to be more visual in their communication. I’m also a surface pattern designer for placement prints and repeat patterns. I create fonts and make stickers. In November 2021, I started teaching on Skillshare and became a part of the Rising Teacher on Skillshare. My mission is to inspire people to allow themselves to be creative when they think that they are not creative at all. Since we all learned to read and write, we can also learn to draw.
