Vitaliia Ter-Avakian
I appreciate art ceramics for the luxury of being imperfect. This is something that the modern technological world cannot afford. Because it is considered as a defect or increases production time. My goal is to create objects that are dissolved in time. When it's both new and old at the same time. Its simple form and black/white color scheme show no signs of time. In my works I strive for harmony. As the most productive state for a person, it is not happiness or sadness, but calm, when all emotions are balanced. I want to convey the same silent peace in my works. My works are like pebbles, simple, wise and imperfect, that can share this if you start a dialogue with them.
