Terese Kühl is a creative producer and a manager who coaches professional visual artists. Her passion lies in developing new income and funding models for the arts, with a special interest in art and culture sponsorship. Terese’s mission is to promote and monetize the valuable work of artists. She pursues this mission through cultural associations, including her work as the producer and chair of the board of Tyynelä Gallery and as a board member of MUU Artists’ Association.

Terese is one of the founding members of Tyynelä Gallery and the art association that runs it. At Tyynelä, her diverse role brings together creative production, artist coaching, dialogue based curating, and a touch of creative madness. As a producer, her role is to create the framework for artists’ free expression. As a curator, her passion is to design art experiences that engage in dialogue with the space and its audiences, developed through open dialogue within the artist team. As a coach, she encourages and listens to help artists achieve their goals and develop sustainable income models. Her coaching methods include both coaching and mentoring approaches.

It is important for Terese to make bold, positive initiatives in the visual arts field and to share the often unspoken knowledge of the industry, for example through her blog Taide ja Raha (Art and Money) https://teresekuhl.com/. Through this, she aims to support artists in generating income and achieving financial success. The Tyynelä Artist Program was created under her initiative from the need to answer the question: “How can one earn a living from artistic work in a financially sustainable way?” As a manager, Terese currently coaches a few professional visual artists, helping to advance their careers and income generation. In her own artistic practice, she has recently focused on community art for children and youth, as well as cultural youth work.

Terese holds a dual degree in economics and visual arts. Before her career in the arts, she worked for 17 years in international development and leadership roles within the banking and financial sector. Today, Terese is living her dream profession, where all her passions come together in a creative way. Let’s collaborate!
