Sukhi is originally from Bangalore, India, and moved to Helsinki in 2017. She holds a master’s degree in communication management, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, English, and Journalism. Her journey with paper flowers and botanicals began when she was looking for unique, earth-friendly decor for her child’s first birthday. “It has been six years and I haven’t stopped creating flowers since.”
At My Sunshine Space, you will find nature-inspired and exquisite paper flowers and botanicals that are completely handmade. Every piece is artfully cut, coloured, shaped, and built together with a lot of attention to the flowers’ anatomy and features. “It has always been a desire to push my abilities and create statement pieces that are also inspired by nature. The idea behind each is a real observation and one that has left a lasting impression on me. Paper sculptures encourage experiments with different materials and more importantly, allow sharing a story using my hands, creativity, and paper as a medium”.
About the name My Sunshine Space: Flowers flourish with sunlight! They bloom and grow. ‘My Sunshine Space’ is one such place that harvests and encourages creativity.
