After completing high school, my family advised me to pursue a “normal” job rather than pursuing my passion for art, a common sentiment in my home country of Kazakhstan. For this reason I got Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s in Industrial Management.
Nevertheless, I continued to study art on my own and later found that the knowledge and skills gained in these other fields were extremely beneficial in my current profession as a graphic designer and photographer. I live and work in Tampere and trying specialize in working with artists and cultural institutions, creating posters, editorial designs, and developing visual identities.
