I’m an upright bassist who sings, born and raised in NYC. I worked for decades doing education and outreach in underserved communities, mainly through two nonprofits — LEAP and Concerts in Motion. My band Cuarteto Guataca is still active in NYC playing salsa and son Cubano for dancers. I still travel to NYC regularly to perform with the band.
