Deniz Satır is a Turkish-Kurdish, USA-born visual artist based in Jyväskylä. She is a bachelor of Law and currently majoring in Visual Communication Design. Deniz reflects on the restlessness, social confusion and isolation with humor through hand tufting and colorful materials. She combines traditional weaving and tufted techniques with contemporary and feminist critics.
