Carla du Ré is a singer-songwriter and vocalist performer from France. After first musical encounters with voice and flute practice, she discovered the world of traditional music. She explored different vocal techniques through travels and workshops, and has collected a wide repertoire of songs from diverse origins and languages.
On another hand, she composes her own songs, in the style of French ‘’chanson’’ songwriting. Navigating between different musical aesthetics, she has been developing collaborations with artists from various fields and backgrounds, as :
Axelle Poulet in her ‘’aqua-poetic show’’ Merienne (FR), Ana Bela and Carine Pillon in the vocal trio Ouna (FR, PT), the fine artist and puppetter Céline Louvet in the youth audience show Lili-Nadia Sœurs (FR), Esther Aleida through her multicultural collective (NL, DE, IR, CL, GE), Javier Navarro Lara and Cristóbal Cerda with the global folk band Fusilli (CL, FR), the shadow puppetter Camille Gibily (FR), as well as Genevieve Andersen (USA), other collector of polyphonic songs.
She is now mainly dedicated to her eponymous project, performing her music with piano and cello, developing a solo set of pieces based on looper, voice, flute and drum, and aiming to develop her knowledges of occitan polyphonic singing and pandero cuadrado playing.
