The campaign funding for culture, Cut the Cuts! against cuts in art and culture continues!
The petition is open until 4.4.2025 with aims to double the current number of signatures to 200,000. Let’s work together to make the defence of culture a popular movement whose effecta cannot be stopped!
The petition with signatures will be handed over to decision-makers in a dignified event on 5.4.2025 starting at 1 p.m. on Senate Square in Helsinki. A few speakers and presenters will be invited to attend. The event ends at 14 to Sibelius’s Finlandia anthem, to which we invite the whole of Finland to join forces in the familiar of each locality at the place of assembly. At Senate Square, we will gather a large choir to represent the diverse field of art and at the same time we get to experience the power of singing together.
During the winter and spring, we want to reach more and more about art and people who enjoy culture, our audience all over Finland. Campaign promoted by Forum Artis under the management of two part-time producers and we directly contact libraries, folk and adult education centres, village associations, etc.
Many cultural personalities and enthusiasts from different regions to participate in the knowledge dissemination. We are also happy to receive tips from you regional influencers who could help to ensure that everyone is entitled to in the defense of culture.
Forum Artis is a small association that does not have to invest its own funds project in addition to the work of the Secretary-General who signed this message, and that’s why we’re raising money for the campaign again. Costs come from producers work input, marketing and the event itself, which requires small stage and sound and video reproduction.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported the campaign, we understand very well that there is no money. It may not be enough anymore, especially because of the cuts that have already taken place. We still encourage you to participate, even with a small amount. We invoiced donors under the heading Marketing cooperation, among others. There is also a small-scale money collection, to which smaller sums can be directed.
