Photo by: I work with a performative framework where I combine the notions of body and material alongside music and “bodily writing” which enhances a multi-disciplinary approach. In my artistic journey of facing and experiencing manifold events, I have been in search of finding a way to raise the issues in the narrative of visual presentation. Therefore, for six years I have been working with pyrography techniques. In parallel I am working on instrumental transfiguration of recycled materials and present those in Live Sound art performances.

My academic and artistic activities started from my Masters degree in visual Arts completed in the year 2004 from India at Delhi College of Arts affiliated to Delhi University, specializing in Sculpture. In the year 2015 I received my Masters degree in Live Arts and Performance Studies at Theater Academy, Uniarts in Helsinki. In the beginning of this year of 2021, I have been in the Safe Havens Artist Residency of Artists at Risk who supported a solo exhibition of my water colours and self-made instrument sculptures followed with impro concerts at Myymälä2 Gallery in the springtime. I was also one of the artists exhibiting my pyrography works at XXV Mäntän Kuvataideviikot “To Err is Human” which took place this summer (13.6 – 31.8.2021). In the recent year of 2020 I was presenting a performance in the Seven of Seven Performance Live Art Week at Myymälä2 Gallery and in the 7th international performance festival held in 2019 organized by LAPSody at TeaK in Helsinki. In 2018 with a ½ year Taike artist working grant I was working on a project called “Log Drum Communication” which was executed in four different cities of Finland – Kankaanpää, Pori, Kokemäki and Järvenpää.
