Mehdi Ghasemi is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Turku and the University of Tampere. He is a fiction writer, writing his fiction books in the hybrid genre of “noveramatry,” a combination of novel, drama and poetry all in one line. He has already published four fiction books, including Flight to Finland, How I Became a W Finn, Finnish Russian Border Blurred and A Farewell to the Earth and Kepler-438b. He has also published 15 scholarly papers in peer-reviewed journals, 5 scholarly books and 1 book chapter. Recently, he has edited an published a multilingual literary anthology, entitled Opening Boundaries: Toward Finnish Heterolinational Literatures. The anthology includes an introduction, written on literature of immigration with a focus on literature produced by immigrant authors in Finland, and some of the literary outputs by 24 immigrant authors residing in Finland from 16 different nationalities and 10 different languages.
