Robin DeWan has been playing didgeridoo for over 25 years. A native of Colorado, USA, he has appeared at numerous international events both in ensembles and as a solo artist. Finnish artists he has recorded with include Aikakone, Ylva, and Nebula Meltdown. He has appeared onstage with acts as diverse as 22-Pistepirkko, Angelit, and Paleface to name but a few. In 2009 Robin released his solo record, Groundswell. Currently he is working on a multi media, multi music genre project entitled, The Journey. This project, in collaboration with Finnish dj and electronic music producer Chantric, will take the audience/ listener on a journey through various musical soundscapes and visual worlds.
In addition, he has worked in the fields of performance art, conceptual art, and sound art. Exhibitions of his conceptual art have been shown in Stockholm and Helsinki. He is also a spoken word artist, poet and storyteller, recently active in Helsinki Poetry Connection events.
Robin is also a sound therapist using the didgeridoo and singing bowls in resonance therapy sessions.
