For many visual artists, pricing their artwork is often as complicated as creating them.  What are the particular and peculiar principles behind the pricing of art? And how can an artist establish a sensible pricing policy that can live with –  one that will serve well in all seasons?   There are no standard formulas or set methods for pricing your art, that’s why it’s more of an art than a science, however art prices are not pulled out of thin air.

On this talk, Ramiro Camelo gives a perspective and overview of different systems for Setting Artwork Prices, as well as practical advice for introducing how to create your particular approach in order to price correctly your artworks.

Ramiro Camelo is an independent curator based in Helsinki.
