Culture for All Service seeks a Diversity Educator

Culture for All Service is recruiting a Diversity Educator for a temporary, part time position for six months (80 %, 29 h/week), 16.8.2021-15.2.2022.

The Diversity Educator participates in the planning and implementation of the Diversity Agent 2.0 project. The aim of the project is to provide tools and training for art and cultural institutions to promote diversity and to identify and address racial discrimination and barriers to inclusion. The project is coordinated by Culture for All Service and realized together with Globe Art Point.

The Diversity Educator works with different assignments as a part of the project team and as a part of the Culture for All Service team. The tasks of the position are to plan and implement a diversity agent training program and, as a part of the training program for agents, to coordinate online clinics for art and culture sector in Finland on issues related to racism and discrimination. One part of the work is to  inform and implement the recommendations of the reports Art, Culture and Diverse Finland. The job requires a suitable university or college degree, experience of teaching and of planning training programs/ courses, good knowledge of issues related to antiracism, cultural diversity, equity, social justice and migrants as well as of the arts and culture field. The successful management of the assignment demands excellent cooperation and interaction skills, resourcefulness, abilities for independent and structured work, as well as experience of communication and project management.

The job requires good language skills in either Finnish or English, i. e. working language is either Finnish or English, depending on the language skills of the applicant.

The wage for the part-time position (80 %) is 2185 euro/ month. DL for job applications is 31.5.2021 at 4 pm. Part of the work is online (remote), and part is done at the office of Culture for All Service at the Cable Factory in Helsinki (Tallberginkatu 1). Information about the office’s accessibility here. An assistant dog is working in the office on regular basis.
