Since September of 2023, Globe Art Point has been hosting Cultural Dialogues, an event series in a dialogue format spearheaded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike). The dialogues centred around art and culture question the role of artists in today’s society with a specific focus on the experiences of BIPOC and foreign artists living and working in Finland. 

WHAT

Cultural Dialogues are moderated discussions that bring together artists, cultural workers, and other creatives in the fields of art and culture. Each season, the dialogues revolve around a unique theme, offering participants a chance to explore different perspectives. Held in an intimate “circle of trust,” these conversations welcome everyone to share both personal and professional experiences from their time in Finland.

These conversations aim to foster a deeper understanding of the professional artistic community and the unique challenges faced by artists from diverse backgrounds based in Finland. An audio recording will be made during the Dialogues for transcription purposes. Transcripts of the recording will be anonymised.

BY WHOM

Cultural Dialogues have been initiated by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and organised in collaboration with Globe Art Point (G.A.P) and the Ministry of Education and Culture (OKM). The insights and topics discussed during these events will serve as valuable input for Taike, G.A.P and OKM in developing programmes that support diversity and accessibility within the cultural and artistic landscape in Finland. 

STRUCTURE

All sessions will run between 16.30-19:00 at the Globe Art Point’s premises, located in Malminkatu 5, 00100, Helsinki. (Please refer to the accessibility information on our website). The dialogue itself takes 2h. The rest of the programme is dedicated to getting to know each other and networking. 

16:30 – 17:00 Doors open for slow gathering and mingling with the participants (optional)
17:00 – 19:00 Dialogue time

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

These dialogues are founded on principles of open and respectful discussion. Participants are encouraged to share their personal perspectives without judgement or pressure to reach a consensus. Each participant’s viewpoint is valued, and the goal is mutual understanding.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

To facilitate productive conversations, we follow the constructive dialogue rules developed by Timeout method “Erätauko”:

1. Listen to the others, do not interrupt or start additional discussions.
   2. Relate what you say to what the others have said and use everyday language.
   3. Talk about your own experience. It is important for us!
   4. Raise your hand when you want to speak up. Ask questions if you want to know more about other participants’ experiences.
   5. Be present and respect the others and the confidentiality of the discussion. Each participant’s feelings are individual. Together we make sure that all participants feel safe.
   6. Find and bring together. Don’t be afraid to express unfinished or unclear thoughts, they may be picked up by others. Don’t be afraid to share what you have not yet found an explanation for.

С сентября прошлого года в Globe Art Point проходят “Диалоги о культуре” — серия мероприятий в формате диалогов, инициированных Центром развития искусства Финляндии (Taike). В ходе диалогов, посвященных искусству и культуре, обсуждается роль художни_ц в современном обществе с особым акцентом на опыт BIPOC художни_ц и деятелей искусства и культуры иностранного происхождения, живущих и работающих в Финляндии.

ЧТО?

Диалоги о культуре — это модерируемые дискуссии между художни_цами, работни_цами культуры и другими творческими людьми, которые хотели бы поделиться своим профессиональным и личным опытом с единомышленни_цами. Цель этих бесед — способствовать более глубокому пониманию профессионального сообщества и уникальных проблем, с которыми сталкиваются художни_цы разных профессий, живущие в Финляндии. Беседы носят конфиденциальный характер, все материалы собираются анонимно.

КТО?

Диалоги о культуре были инициированы Центром развития искусств Финляндии (Taike) и организованы в сотрудничестве с Globe Art Point (G.A.P) и Министерством образования и культуры (OKM). Мнения и темы, обсуждаемые на этих мероприятиях, послужат ценным вкладом для Taike, G.A.P и OKM в разработку программ, поддерживающих разнообразие и доступность культурного и художественного ландшафтов Финляндии.

Важно отметить, что резюме наших диалогов будет представлено рабочей группе по подготовке доклада о культурной политике. Этот доклад — часть правительственной программы премьер-министра Орпо, призванной сформулировать видение долгосрочного развития культурной политики Финляндии. Целью доклада является охватить нынешнее состояние сектора культуры, а также выделить ключевые движущие силы, способствующие его трансформациям.

СТРУКТУРА

Все сессии будут проходить с 16.30 до 19.00 часов в помещении Globe Art Point, расположенном по адресу: Malminkatu 5, 00100, Helsinki. (Пожалуйста, ознакомьтесь с информацией о доступности на нашем сайте). Сам диалог длится 2 часа. Остальная часть программы посвящена знакомству и общению.

Обратите внимание, что регистрация является обязательной. Количество участни_ц ограничено, поэтому регистрируйтесь только в том случае, если у вас есть желание принять участие в мероприятии. Если вы зарегистрировались и поняли, что больше не можете участвовать, вы должны отменить свое участие как минимум за один день до события.

РУКОВОДЯЩИЕ ПРИНЦИПЫ

В основе диалогов лежат принципы открытой и уважительной дискуссии. Участни_ц поощряют делиться своими личными взглядами без осуждения или давления с целью достижения консенсуса. Точка зрения каждо_й участни_цы ценится, а целью является взаимопонимание.

ПРАВИЛА ВЕДЕНИЯ ДИСКУССИИ

На наших встречах мы придерживаемся правил созидательного диалога, выработанных в рамках финской методики Timeout/Erätauko:

1. Слушайте других, не перебивайте и не начинайте параллельных обсуждений.
2. Соотносите то, что вы говорите, с тем, что сказали другие, и используйте повседневный язык.
3. Рассказывайте о своем собственном опыте. Это важно для нас!
4. Поднимайте руку, когда хотите высказаться. Задавайте вопросы, если хотите узнать больше об опыте других участни_ц.
5. Уважайте других участни_ц и конфиденциальность обсуждения. Чувства кажд_ой участни_цы индивидуальны. Вместе мы позаботимся о том, чтобы все присутствующие на диалогах чувствовали себя в безопасности.
6. Находите и объединяйте. Не бойтесь высказывать незаконченные или неясные мысли, они могут быть подхвачены другими. Не бойтесь поделиться тем, чему вы еще не нашли объяснения.

Desde septiembre del año pasado, Globe Art Point ha venido acogiendo los “Diálogos Culturales” (orig. Cultural Dialogues) una serie de conversatorios impulsados por el Centro de Promoción de las Artes de Finlandia (Taike). Los diálogos, centrados en el arte y la cultura, reflexionan sobre el papel de los artistas en la sociedad actual, con especial atención a las experiencias de los artistas BIPOC ( negrxs, indígenas y personas de color (orig. BIPOC stands for black, indigenous, people of color) y extranjeros que viven y trabajan en Finlandia. 

QUÉ

Los Diálogos Culturales son conversaciones moderadas en las que artistas, trabajadores culturales y otros creativos comparten sus experiencias profesionales y personales con otros participantes afines. El objetivo de estas conversaciones es fomentar una comprensión más profunda de la comunidad artística profesional y de los retos específicos a los que se enfrentan los  diversos artistas afincados en Finlandia. Durante los Diálogos se realizar una grabación de audio. Las transcripciones de la grabaciones son anónimas. El resumen de los diálogos incluirá los temas y cuestiones de los que hablaron los participantes, pero no los nombres de los participantes o sus historias personales.

ORGANIZADORES

Los Diálogos Culturales han sido iniciados por el Centro de Promoción de las Artes de Finlandia (Taike) y organizados en colaboración con Globe Art Point (G.A.P) y el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura (OKM). Las ideas y los temas debatidos durante estos eventos se usarán como una valiosa fuente de información por parte de  Taike, G.A.P. y OKM para desarrollar programas que apoyen la diversidad y la accesibilidad en el panorama cultural y artístico de Finlandia. 

Es importante destacar que el resumen de estos diálogos se presentará al grupo de trabajo sobre el informe de política cultural que se incluirá en el programa de gobierno del Primer Ministro Orpo. La perspectriva presentada en el informe sobre política cultural y las medidas para alcanzarla se basan en el panorama situacional del sector artístico y cultural y sus principales motores de cambio. Este informe creará una estrategia ambiciosa para un desarrollo a largo plazo de la política cultural y artística de Finlandia.

ESTRUCTURA

Todas las sesiones tendrán lugar entre las 16:30 y las 19:00 horas en las instalaciones de Globe Art Point, situadas en Malminkatu 5, 00100, Helsinki. (Consulte la información sobre accesibilidad en nuestro sitio web). El diálogo en sí dura 2h. El resto del programa se dedica a conocerse y hacer contactos.

Tenga en cuenta que la inscripción es vinculante. Este evento tiene un aforo limitado, así que inscríbase sólo si está decidido a asistir. Si se inscribe y se da cuenta de que ya no puede participar, deberá cancelar su participación con al menos un día de antelación. 

PRINCIPIOS RECTORES

Estos diálogos se basan en principios de debate abierto y respetuoso. Se anima a los participantes a compartir sus puntos de vista personales sin juzgar o apremiar para alcanzar un consenso. Se valorará el punto de vista de cada participante y el objetivo será siempre el mutuo entendimiento.

NORMAS DE PARTICIPACIÓN

Para facilitar conversaciones productivas, seguimos las reglas de diálogo constructivo desarrolladas por el método Timeout “Erätauko”:

– Escucha a los demás, no interrumpas ni inicies discusiones adicionales.

– Vincula lo que dices a lo que han dicho los demás y utiliza un lenguaje cotidiano.

– Habla de tu propia experiencia. Es importante para nosotros.

– Levanta la mano cuando quieras hablar. Haz preguntas si quieres saber más sobre las experiencias de los demás participantes.

– Mantente presente y respeta a los demás y la confidencialidad del debate. Los sentimientos de cada participante son personales. Juntos nos aseguramos de que todos se sientan seguros.

– Encuentra y conécta. No tengas miedo de expresar pensamientos inacabados o poco claros, ya que los demás pueden recogerlos y conectarlos. No temas compartir aquello para lo que aún no has encontrado explicación.
